7 Hand lettering Classes
For Beginners + Advanced
1. Hand Lettering Essentials for Beginners
Time: 1 hour 57 minutes | 12 videos
Mary Kate McDevitt is one of my favorite hand letterers! I just love her work, and I have two of her books, so I can definitely say with confidence that she's the real deal and she's going to help you through this hand lettering mojo and make you wonder why you didn't start sooner. Seriously though, when we want to do something, we just have to start. Starting is the first step, and you can figure out the rest after.
Over 45k people have taken the course, so you're in good hands.
In this class, you'll learn: researching and brainstorming, sketching for lettering, styles for lettering, inking and finalizing. Like I said, you'll be a pro in no time.
2. Introduction to Modern Script Calligraphy

Swoooon over this. I've never done modern script calligraphy, so I'm personally intrigued.
Along with the course, you'll also get 7 Skillshare-exclusive practice pages (what!!) along with a guide for straight lines and countless inspiration photos. I mean - what else could you possibly need or want?
"By the end, you'll write a meaningful name, quotation, or passage in a simple calligraphy script. If I had more time and energy, I'd be making some kickass hand lettered postcards right now, because who doesn't need more postcards on their wall? But seriously, how can people visit a new city and not get a postcard while they're there? (And by "a postcard", I mean like 20 postcards...)
This would make a nice Christmas card though, and now is the perfect time to start learning! After all, there is no better time than the present.
