Meghana Prasad is a Chicago based, professional makeup artist and licensed esthetician. She specializes in South Asian and Indian weddings.

In addition, she is also a business coach for wedding business owners who want to provide the same bridal experiences to their clients on their wedding day.

Her target market: A young-ish professional (late 20’s-early 30’s, ex. doctors, accountants, lawyers, business people) who values looking beautiful on her wedding day, but isn’t someone who wears a lot of makeup on a daily basis. Down to earth and value enjoying their special day.

Creative considerations: Modern, refined, luxurious, and supportive.

Rachel Downey is a Bay Area based photographer for couples madly in love, who are intentional about loving each other and getting married in a way that feels good and true to them.

Her target market: Couples in their mid-20’s to late 30’s, who are madly in love with their significant other. They prefer coffee shops over bars, experiences over things, and Instagram over Facebook. A bit hipster, prefer lazy prefers and long walks, have creative hobbies (if they don’t work in the creative field), and prefer a close knit of friends.

Creative considerations: Down-to-earth / Pacific North West vibe and aesthetics, relatable, human, genuine, simple, and clean.

the shootout society

The Shootout Society will serve as a platform and community to educate and empower photographers through workshops, meet-ups and educational resources.

The purpose of the community is to empower photographers through creation, collaboration and connection. To focus on uniting photographers all over the globe and building a consistent audience engaged and intrigued to keep event attendance ongoing.

Their target market: Women between the ages of 22 and 28. Aspiring photographers looking to build their portfolios, or seasoned photographers that have fallen into a rut and needs creative inspiration.

Both females are looking to be part of a community and want to elevate their business while connecting with other similar minded girl bosses.

Creative considerations: illustrated logos, approachable, friendly, inviting, warmer colors with contrast, more deep and earthy colors, fun, and inspiring.

Amy Paine is a portrait photographer. In addition to photographing women and the occasional family in her portrait work, she created an experience for women called the “Just Me Experience”.

In these sessions, she helps women realize their beauty and make them feel loved, worthy, and enough. “I make women feel comfortable, and create a safe space. I just want women to leave feeling really, really good about themselves.”

Her target market: Between the age of 30 to 60. Someone who is providing her worth in a job that would historically and societally be deemed as a man’s job;  A CEO, or a project manager for a construction company, or a go-to in the tech industry.

She is transitioning from hating her body to realizing how powerful it is, and giving thanks to all it allows her to do. She experiences life to its fullest by traveling any time she can. She values quality in all aspects and would always choose to support fellow women if possible. She has a free spirit and loves to have fun. She likes efficiency, organization, and delegating.

Creative considerations: Genuine, raw, authentic, comfortable, vulnerable, safe, and monochromatic.

SoulScripts is a movement started by Jordan Lee Dooley - “Your Brokeness is Welcome Here”. Along with being a movement, it has a product line that supports employment opportunities for college women to find their education.

A movement that equips women with a tool for loving themselves and welcoming others as they are, not as they think they ought to be.

Their target market: Women between the ages of 18 and 38. Shop at Target, Forever 21, Madewell, Anthropologie, etc. Hang out in coffee shops and at home. Instagram, Snapchat, and podcast land.

Have different groups of friends - some that think and believe like they do and some that don’t; some that they have deeper connection with and some that are simply fun and occasional good company.

Creative considerations: welcoming, warm, feminine, neutral tones (with olive and gold aesthetics), organic feel, a personal and community feel, and a more “grown up” vibe than their previous brand.

Kirsty Su is a destination lifestyle & wedding photographer based in Perth that is always keen for an adventure.

She is focused on being a “people first” photographer that provides an experience in getting to know her clients in order to best understand their vision.

Her target market: Women, couples, and families in their 20’s to 40’s. Appreciate the finer things in life and value quality over quantity. Hang out on social media, primarily Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook. They also enjoy spending time with family and friends offline - coffee shops, restaurants, traveling, hiking, barbecuing, etc.

Creative considerations: Modern, minimalistic, inviting, soothing, professional, and empowering.

“Working with Molly has been great as it has allowed me to dive deep into trying to figure out who I am as an artist and the various aspects that should be considered before building your aesthetic brand.

It was important for me to feel that I connected with a graphic designer. I appreciated being able to have a discovery call for us to chat and talk about ourselves and our businesses to see whether we thought professionally we would work well together. 

The branding questionnaire Molly sent really helped me become more focused in creating an experience within my business that is aimed at my ideal client. I appreciated the fact that Molly was patient with me while I figured out my preferences with font and colors, etc. This took me a bit of time and Molly never made me feel guilty about sometimes being unsure or taking a bit longer to decide.
